I Can See! May 10, 2008

I finally, did it.  Got my eye all lasered.  Just one for now though since I couldn’t get the quick and easy Lasik, I had to get PRK; a little more uncomfortable and takes a bit longer to get to 20/20 which is why I just got one done so far.  But SO worth it (even as it sit here with my eye watering).

I’ve had glasses since 4th grade and have worn contacts for 20 years.  I couldn’t see the alarm clock on the side of my bed unless it was a few inches in front of my face.  I took my last right eye contact last night and tore it in half.  I kept thinking, ‘but what if I need it?’. 

This is so cool!  (plus it’s good for a bit of pampering from Jason)…

I’ve got it bad right now.  Guess I need to stay busier!  People probably think I’m some crazy lady the way I stare at kids all the time.  I hope it doesn’t get too embarassing. 

Good excuse to visit my neices and nephews again…here’s one of my neices. I’m so glad they all still like slobbery auntie kisses. 

Weekend Outing January 14, 2008

Just Once January 9, 2008

Initially I had a crazy thought of going to Vegas for New Years and after reading about the mayhem, decided the weekend prior would do just fine.  We were there for an even 24 hours, enough for me.  Just not my thing I guess but Hoover Dam was by far my favorite. 

 But I’m glad we went.  Now I don’t have to wonder anymore..and look below to see what a pitcher of sangria, a camera and walking around until 230 in the morning will get ya…

Addictions November 28, 2007

 I love Wii.  And I especially love Guitar Hero for Wii.  On the night it came out, I dragged the girls with me to Best Buy at midnight.  No, they didn’t want to go but I didn’t want to look like a 30 something dork waiting for my copy of Guitar Hero either so they were my cover.  They are good for that. 

 Renee and I are the two who play the game the most.  Jason has tried it and I guess because it’s not a gun game, he doesn’t care (either that or he just can’t rock).  Nicole is easily frustrated and really, she’d rather make ’stuff’ in her room.

So Renee and I have been battling it out since we got the game.  She gets ahead, I get ahead.  I have to ground her from it so she can’t get ahead again.  I can’t lose Alice Cooper and Kiss songs to a kid who hasn’t heard them before now! 

We’re both on the ‘hard’ level now.  I put up with a little wrist pain last night and pulled ahead of her by two songs.  Tonight she’s gone with the school band (snicker, snicker) so I might have to take some time to increase my lead a bit more. 

 I can’t wait for Guitar Hero IV.
